Filling is a fat transfer

The fat is removed by liposuction in areas where you have excess fat (thighs, stomach, hips) and immediately reinjected into the breasts. This technique has revolutionized cosmetic and reconstructive surgery: it allows to obtain natural results without any scars. However, it is necessary to be able to take enough fat from your body in order to obtain a satisfactory result. Fillings do not allow for significant augmentation in one go: two operations are sometimes necessary. It is possible to replace a poorly tolerated prosthesis with one or more fillings.

The placement of breast prostheses

It is the most widely performed breast augmentation technique in the world, with over 60 years of experience. It provides excellent results in a single operation, with a wide choice of volumes and shapes. Prostheses can be used in women who cannot benefit from a filling. However, the prostheses are a foreign body, which becomes more fragile over the years (or more precisely over the decades). They must be changed if they wear out and it is necessary to annually check them with an ultrasound.

Composite breast augmentation

It is possible to combine the two techniques, by associating a breast prosthesis with a filling, which makes it possible to correct a precise area of the breast or to mask the outlines of the prosthesis.
